- Reena Singh, Sabina Khatoon and Monika Ghosh - Marc Gold and 100 Friends are helping these young women with school expenses including tuition and traveling expenses. Reena and Sabina are finishing their Class 10 and Monika is in her last year of college.
- Megha Mazumdar - Kevin Barker is helping our graduate Sukla Mazumdar send her daugher Megha to English medium school. Megha had been attending this school until a financial crisis in the family almost forced her to drop out.
- Guria Gowala - Guria was one of our first students. She has no family and was having difficulty finding a place to live and a job. Thanks to Lynda Leigh she is now living in a working women's hostel and has a job teaching at Sanlaap in their computer school in Narendrapur.
Guria's dream is to learn programming. The best place for her to do this is NIIT but she cannot afford the costs of a course. Would you like to help Guria?
- Prasanta Das - Although only seven years old Prasanta has been visiting our computer centre since he was five. He lives in one tiny room with his mother and grandmother who could not afford to send him to school. Last year he was admitted in a local English medium school. Thanks to his sponsor Sonia Anderson, Prasanta can now read the Dr. Seuss classic, Ten Apples Up On Top!.
