• Kabita Gowala and Reena Singh - Thanks to Marc Gold and 100 Friends these young women are able to continue their education. The funds go to tuition, transportation and books.


• Megha Mazumdar - Thanks to Kevin Barker Sukla Mazumdar's daugher Megha is able to finish her primary education in St.Thomas for Girls, an English medium school. Megha had been attending this school until a financial crisis in the family almost forced her to drop out.


• Guria Gowala - Guria was one of our first students. She has no family and was having difficulty finding a place to live and a job. Thanks to Lynda Leigh she is now living in a working women's hostel and has a job teaching computer skills to girls at Sanlaap. Thanks to Lynda Leigh and Kevin Barker, Guria is now attending a programming course.


• Prasanta Sarkar - Although only eight years old Prasanta has been visiting our computer centre since he was five. He lives in one tiny room with his mother and grandmother who could not afford to send him to school. He is now studying in Class 2 in a local English medium school. Thanks to his sponsor Sonya Anderson, Prasanta is not only attending school but going to an art class offered by Ramakrishna Mission.
